Sell privately or
with an estate agent?
Compare the responsibilities and support you need before deciding how to sell your property.
01
What will you manage yourself?
Selling privately means organising the pricing research, documents, presentation, adverts, enquiries and viewings. You also need to assess offers and coordinate the steps to completion with the relevant professionals.
Consider the time available, your ability to follow up with interested buyers and how you will check the information before making commitments. A buyer enquiry is not the same as an acceptable offer or a completed sale.
02
What support should an agency provide?
Ask how the property will be prepared, how viewings and feedback will be handled and how offers will be analysed. Understand who will be responsible for communication and what is included through to completion.
At RIDIUM, we offer a free property market analysis and accompany the sale through to the deed, gathering the necessary documentation with you. A commercial estimate does not guarantee a sale price or deadline.
03
Compare written conditions.
Check the agency’s AMI identification, the scope of the service, duration, regime and agreed conditions before signing. Our service conditions and remuneration are discussed in a meeting and set out in the written agreement.
Neither approach removes the need for the applicable documents and competent advice. Choose the arrangement that fits your circumstances, rather than assuming that either route guarantees a result.
